Nordic Public Health Conference
The Nordic Public Health Conference 2025 Concludes in Gothenburg
From 13 to 15 May, the Nordic Public Health Conference brought together 600 professionals in the field of public health. The event convened experts, policymakers, and practitioners from across the Nordic region — and beyond — to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and discuss future challenges and opportunities in public health.
This year’s conference welcomed participants from 18 countries, reflecting the growing international interest in Nordic perspectives on public health and welfare.
On 15 May, Olivia Wigzell, Director General of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, officially handed over the baton for the next conference in 2028 to Mika Salminen, Director General of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, marking the transition of the event to Finland.
The Public Health Agency of Sweden, which hosted the 14th edition of the conference, extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants, the Nordic committee, Region Västra Götaland, the City of Gothenburg, and all other partners who contributed to the planning and successful execution of the event.
