Host City – Göteborg
Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city, is a friendly and laid-back metropolis with a vibrant cultural mix and a thriving culinary scene. Founded in 1621, the city’s compact size allows easy exploration with many of its attractions at walking distance – or a Gothenburg tram ride away.
Situated on the scenic west coast, Gothenburg seamlessly combines urban sprawl with a natural wonderland, offering a diverse range of attractions, from historic neighborhoods to sprawling parks like Slottsskogen or Trädgårdsföreningen. If you have time to stay a little extra, explore the city’s excellent restaurants, renowned for their seafood offerings or stop by Liseberg, the city’s 100-year old theme park.
Travelling to Gothenburg is easy. Take the train to Gothenburg Central station, with connections from all corners of Sweden, as well as Oslo and Copenhagen. Alternatively, fly into Landvetter Airport (GOT) which lies 20 km southeast of citycenter, 30 minutes by bus.
